Why photons are blocked by physical barrier,while phonon also passing around?

I guess you are just using phonons with a big wave length and photons with a small wave length compared to the barrier.

Waves exhibit the phenomenon of diffraction. Waves will pass around physical barriers to some extent. If the wave length is very short compared to the obstacles width, you will not be able to notice the effect.

You may notice that phonons with shorter wave length (higher pitch) will not pass around obstacles to the same degree.
