  1. The Bermuda triangleis a myth.  There are dozens of different borders defined for it, and authors are changing the borders slightly every time something happens, to mention IT in their book about the Bermuda Triangle.  There are no more accidents in the area than any other area of similar geoghraphy and weather.  All the stories about entire crews vanishing?  Made up.  The Bermuda Triangle is a myth.  Let move on to something more interesting, like Sasquatch or Nessie. . .

If this is helpful, I could use best answer (hint, hint)

  2. Actually, I've heard that there is a larger amount of traffic in this area of the Atlantic Ocean, and if you compare it, percentage wise, to the accidents that happen at sea in the rest of the world, there really is nothing out of the ordinary.

Also, Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and the area of the ocean off the coast of this land mass jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean is known for consistently having some of the worst weather in the world as far as conditions at sea are concerned.

  3. Aliens, USOs(Unidentified Submerged Objects).  They zap planes with a gamma ray and thats all she wrote.

  4. --Same reason they disappear everywhere else.  Get lost, run out of fuel, spatial disorientation, sleeping while descending.

Many routes cross the Bermuda Triangle, and there are always--day and night--planes flying in it.

  5. There are some freak weather conditions in that vague area, but you will also find that what is defined as "The Bermuda Triangle" can vary by hundreds of miles, and normal losses develop a certain mystique.  Ships and planes are lost regularly all over the world - but any near Bermuda are labelled as "Bermuda Triangle mysteries".

It's probably no worse than anywhere else, but never let facts get in the way of a good story.

  6. The "bermuda triangle" or "devil's triangle" is a popular myth.  It does not exist in real life, and the number of accidents and "mysterious disappearances" is no greater there than anywhere else.
