My little brother's game "Poke'mon Gold Version" on his Gameboy color won't save. He's really bummed because he was playing for a long time then one day he turned it on and all it said for the options was "New Game" and "Options". He tried to play it again, and it saved, but when he went back, it didn't for the second time. Is there a way to fix it? He's only a little kid and I feel bad because I bought it for him.... It only saves when he first starts, and that's when he saves it twice. Any suggestions besides saying it's it's time to go and chucking it in garbage?

  1. sometimes the gameboy needs batteries to save i know it sound weird but it does. maybe you should take it down to a gameing shop and ask them, they are sure to help hey they may be there to sell you games but they have to take a course to fix electroncis. my brother applied for a job at a gameing shop.

  2. What game system does he play it on, I know this sounds weird but sometimes the games have a system they work best on. Pokemon gold should work perfectly on game boy color, and on gameboy advance it should work too. I'm so sorry for him, the only other thing he can do is play none stop, like never save and keep the game charged all the time so when he goes somewhere it's still on or if he sleeps it's still working. Just keep it charged all the time and close it but don't turn of the power and KEEP IT CHARGED. Other then that it's either time to get a new one or one of the newwer games like pokemon pearl for nintendo ds. Oh it might be a problom with the game system he plays on. Sorry : (

  3. if you bought the game at a Gamecrazy,or Gamestop, etc. and you got it used, The person before you might have used an Game Shark, the Action Replay of gameboy color, and messed up the save file. It happened to me
