The man I'm dating just disappeared. Just stopped calling. I can't stop thinking about WHY he may have left... probably another woman b/c everything was going so well and if I had done something wrong he would have let me know so maybe he just found someone he cares about more. The whole thing has come as a shock to me... Im usually able to tell beforehand in relationships before a breakup that there are some problems and that he may be thinking of breaking up but THIS came out of nowhere...

He was always talking about how hes never felt this way before and how great we are together. It doesnt make any sense.

  1. Maybe he's dead.

  2. You should NEVER chase a guy. Seriously, if he left without saying anything there cannot be a good reason. Think about it, either he left because he found someone else, he doesn't love you anymore, he's afraid of commitment, or he was kidnapped (which I doubt!), none of these reasons say "I love you and I want you and I need you" so do your best to move on. You deserve better.

  3. How long has it been since he's contacted you? Are you sure that your relationship is officially over and that he doesn't have something else very serious going on, like a family emergency?

And if it IS officially over, it may not have had anything to do with you. "It's not you; it's me" is actually true sometimes! You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, especially since he didn't seem to have any complaints about you.

  4. I know it's hard when there is no closure but you will drive yourself crazy with the "whys".  The best thing to do is to move on and find someone new.  Get out.  Have some fun.  Think of other things.

Sometimes men just do this to us because they don't have the "stones" to break up with us and give us a reason.  Who knows.  I wish I knew what to tell you to make you feel better.  I am telling you all of this from personal experience.  You are not the only gal in the world who has been treated this way.

    good luck

  5. Could be any of a hundred thousand reasons -- might be something happened, and he's withdrawing because he's the kind to do that when something happens.

Like, maybe a relative is sick, or died.

Or maybe -- well, there are a gazzillion reasons.

The thing is, you need to move on.

I've known this to happen. The guy vanishes. Turns out, he was going through a thing, and so drops his relationships.

Yeah, dumb. Because it's when you're going through a thing that you need loved ones the most.

But some people are like that.

    Move on.
