Why portraits take long to be delivered?Sears or Target says they take 7 days to deliver a portrait picture!?

Volume. They are working at such high volumes that their processing and all the paperwork that follows it is slow.

high volume and the fact that they dont get printed on the at the store they get sent from a warehouse who prints then, so really 7 days is pretty good since a lot of them get sent from out of state.

They must send their info out-of-state. They do not do the photos in store...they only take the pictures there. They send them off to a processing facility.
