  1. It just means that they haven't decided which professor from that department will be teaching the class.

  2. i think that it is either a student teacher or a teacher has not been assigned to teach the class yet....i would say that it is okay some of my classes also list staff as the professor.

  3. No. It just means a professor hasn't been assigned to the class yet. And yes, it's fine to take the class.

  4. The instructor hasn't been assigned yet. Your best bet is to go to the college's bookstore site and then find textbooks for your class - sometimes the itinerary is updated more frequently there - including the assigned instructor.

  5. It just means that they hadn't yet figured out which instructor would be assigned to the class at the time the schedule was printed. Depending on how advanced the class is, you might get a TA or a junior professor, but it probably won't be the janitor (even though there are some pretty smart janitors in the world).

  6. It means the instructor hasn't been decided yet.

It could mean, particularly with community colleges, that an adjunct faculty member will be assigned to the course, as opposed to a full time staffmember.
