  1. I pay $10.25 per gallon or racing fuel for the car I drive on Fri, Sat and Sun and it gets about 4mpg on city streets.  Its just part of my entertainment costs.

  2. Some people just have money to burn!!

  3. Well you kinda get use to the price:)

I wouldnt let gas stop me from racing!

And lol maybe it isnt that high??

  4. To put it in perspective for you: It's actually US$ 5.60 per gallon if you consider the exchange rate (one liter at NZ$ 1.70, one NZ$ = US$ 0.85, and one gallon is 3.85 litres). On a global scale, that's not too bad. NZ wages and salaries are comparable to those in Scandinavia, where gas costs twice that - and our other living costs are low (all taxes, healthcare, social benefits, and pension plan are included in our 30% deductions from income, and the average house price is at around US$ 250.000 - so, plenty of money left for the racers).
