  1. Israel isn;t that appealing.  It offers a small cash incentive, but the economic opportunities there aren't as good as many other western countries.  It's not like it's particularly safe anyways.  Not even a separation wall can make Israel a safe haven, and it will nevre be as long as the government continues to make life difficult for the Palestinians by taking their land and cutting off their water and economic opportunities.

  2. They can make better money elsewhere, which is their reason for existing.

  3. Because the zionist dream is dead; the world has moved to embrace multiculturalism and this state is an atavistic throwback to the era of the ethnic state. Most Jews don't want to live in a monocultural environment; it's too stifling and invariably involved a lot of flag-waving ultra-nationalism and ethnic discrimination.

  4. It is a pathetic situation when the de facto government must offer cash incentives to encourage immigration, but the fact is the original premise - a safe haven for jews - no longer has any validity in a world where persecution of jews ceased 63 years ago. Today zionism is an exercise in meaninglessness.

  5. It's obvious that, Israel is not a suitable place to leave, even though these Zions attempt to portray it otherwise!

Informative response by the lady above me.

  6. As an Israeli living in the U.S, I can only offer my personal perspective:

Making a living in Israel is extremely difficult for most people, higher education is extremely expensive, opportunities are limited, there is extreme job discrimination in Israel (forget about finding work or retaining your job if you are over 40), and certain purchases are overpriced due to high taxes (cars, for example).

Again; this is just my personal observation, based on my own experiences and those of other Israelis I know.
