  1. Because drainage water does not mix with it and river water keeps on running.

  2. The deeper is more blue in colour visibly.

  3. That's the beauty of nature. The reason behind this is similar to rainbow. Just reflection of color by sea.

According to science, there is a capability for every object in the world to scatter/reflect some particular colors when sunlight strikes it. That's the reason for blue color. This is also depends on brightness of sunlight. In evening U can't see the blue...

Since sea is bigger then river U can see reflection in puddles. (compare to river)

  4. On the ocean, where the turbulence (including water mixing with air) is greatest - in what are called whitecaps - the water "looks" white.  Rivers have a lot of turbulence, as the water is in constant motion, often bouncing off and around objects like rocks, the water looks more "white."  Deeper water - lilke the ocean and deep rivers - the water looks darker.  In all cases, though, as you must know, water is clear, neither white nor blue.

  5. actually, all water is naturally colourless. the water in the sea is spanned over a larger area than rivers, and this large area reflects the colour of sky, which is usually blue. the water in rivers appears white sometimes because it is moving and rushing quite fast, creating the illusion of white because of the bubbles created when it is actually still transparent.

have you ever noticed that the water you drink or shower in is transparent? its the same with all water.
