Question:

Why should I believe global warming warnings?

The weatherman who forecast rain this morning said it would warm by 1 to 3 degrees in the next 100 years. Its 10 o'clock right now and there's not a cloud in the sky. I guess if you wake up every morning saying "today, I'm going to die" you will be right one day. Then the global warming advocates will claim its science and advocate elaborate and expensive warnings be carried all over the media, especially the weather network. In other words, nothing much will change.

  1. You should not, It's a bunch of bologna! Global Warming IS NOT REAL! NOOOOT REAL!

  2. It's a kind of religion, so believe in it if you want to.

Most scientists say it may be happening but not because of human activity.

Actually, since 1998 it's been getting slightly cooler.  So who knows?  Maybe we're already in a cooling period.  Who knows how long that will last.  I hope not long.  The warming period that may have just ended lasted only 19 years.

  3. Don't worry about it.  Global warming is real but there isn't anything an individual can do about it.  Just hang on because it is going to be a wild ride.

  4. global glaircers melting=water level rising=world flood

  5. I think you should belive in it because it's happening glaciers are melting, more smog, and rising temperatures i beleive in it so you should just believe

  6. Global warming is a hoax, just as the "danger of the ozone hole" was years ago (gee, what happened to that....?), and the "environmentalists" have a "hidden agenda".

Just think about it for a moment -- wasn't most of North America covered in glaciers a few thousands of years ago (I really don't know, I'm guessing 10,000-15,000 years or so)? The retreat of the glaciers (warming trend) formed what is now the Great Lakes. What caused that? I don't really think it was carbon output by mankind.

The ocean is the biggest producer of  C-O-2 in the atmosphere; volcanoes also put out a tremendous amount -- several orders of magnitude greater than that of mankind.

    Science, my friend, SCIENCE!

  7. For the same reason you should believe global cooling warnings.  Duh.

  8. Climate and weather are actually two different fields of study, and the level of predictability is comparably different. Think of this as the difference between trying to predict the height of the fifth wave from now that will come splashing up the beach versus predicting the height of tomorrow's high tide.

Climate is defined as weather averaged over a period of time, generally around 30 years. This averaging over time removes the random and unpredictable behavior of weather. This by no means says that it is necessarily easy to predict climate changes, but clearly seizing on the weathermans'  forecast failures to cast doubt on a climate model's 100 year projection is an argument of ignorance.

  9. You shouldn't. You will die first from global cooling than global heat.

Facts: In the last 12 months:

    1. China has had its coldest winter in 100 years!

    2. It snowed in Baghdad for the first time in recorded history!

    3. North America had the most snow in the last  50 years!

    4. There are record level of Antarctic sea ice

    5. Record cold in Minnesota, South Africa, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, Greenland and many other places.

    6. The drop in worldwide global temperature in the last year is the most dramatic temperature event ever recorded!!

I believe  the man-made global warming hype is near the end - goodbye Al Gore!!!!

  10. There are far more arguments that G.W. is here. The one's in the media are the rich few who benefit by not joining the movement and are spending millions to make you think the same. Contrary, to what some people believe about winters getting colder and more ice and what have you, the truth is, it is a part of global warming. Take a look at some articles on line you see.
