Why should I buy (very) expensive Delrin riding gear..?

instead of a Gore-Tex type suit at about 1/4 the price?...If I forego Abrasion Resistance,Im getting equal waterproof-ness and warmth...

I cycle every day and I buy the cheapest gear I can find. I'm interested in cycling not fashion and warmth is never an issue as pedalling keeps me warm enough.

if you are willing to drop the hard pads in the knees/elbows and the visibility,Cabelas has some nice Gore-Tex type suits that are insulated and work really good for about 150 a suit..the last I saw of the Delrin,a bottom/top set runs about 900....Id go with Cabelas
