Question:

Why should I even bother to vote?

I want to vote for McCain but I live in a very blue state, so it doesn't matter if I vote or not because all my state's electoral votes will go for Obama. I would make more of a difference if I lived in Ohio, a swing state. Why should I bother to vote?

  1. I'm not. I live in Maryland which is about 80% Democrat. So, as far as President goes, unless you vote for the Democrat, your vote is meaningless in Maryland. I have to rely on the rest of America to keep the racist, socialist out of the White House. Don't let me down.

  2. Because it is your reight and privilege as an american.

I'm an Obama man personally, but I respect everyones right to vote.

I'm in VA...so I really have to vote this year.  But my friend lives in WV (bery Red...although they do have a democrat governor and senators).  He's voting to show his support.

Just vote...and if you want , vote for Obama( =  just kidding.  do what you feel is right.

  3. Always excersize your right to vote. even if you think it will be outweighed. people fought and died for it, and you NEVER let the government silence your voice.

the moment you do that, is the moment youve given away what america is.

Also the moment you sit quietly by and let the cards fall, is the moment you also give up your right to complain. even the smallest pebble thrown into a lake will make a ripple. imagine 100 pebbles. then 1000. it just takes one person to start a tide if people see it does something

be a leader, not a sheeple

  4. Well, you know that a vote for McCain is NOT a vote for Obama.  You could always look at it that way.

  5. Never assume.  Do the right thing (In your opinion) for the right reason. You don't get this chance very often.  Besides, downticket races might be affected.

  6. If you don't care - don't vote

  7. State and local election matter  too, maybe even more that the presidential one,  and your vote will count in them

  8. if your intention is to vote for McCain, you shouldn't bother.  you clearly are ignorant of all the harm caused by the man.

  9. Because if you don't bother to vote for McCain and Obama gets in, you'll have no right to complain about what he does.  If you at least cast your vote for McCain, then you'll have the grounds to say "I didn't vote for the son of a ..." when Obama does something you don't like.

(Which will be at least once a day.)

  10. Because it's your right as an American citizen to vote.  Maybe the dems in your blue state might stay home because they feel they have it "locked up" and your one vote will put the republicans closer.
