Why should I have to pay for your home?

I don't own a home.

I didn't vote for Bush.

Why should there be 300,000,000,000 for "relief" of only 400,000? Who's relief? I don't know anybody with a $750,000 home. If you can't afford your home, sell it at a loss and get a cheaper one.

Why Should I have to pay? What's in it for me? What makes you think it's ok?

  1. You shouldn't have to pay.  Who said you did?  I hope to God the government isn't planning on bailing out people who decided to live beyond their means.

  2. I agree, and I don't understand the math either.  Most of the people getting a "bail out" wound be living in homes worth less than $100,000.  I guess they're using the same accountants that figured they need to spend $400 for a $20 hammer.  I wish the government would stay out of it and let the market correct itself.  I myself benefited from the housing "crisis" and bought a great 3 bedroom home that fell in price until I could afford it.  Thanks to the "crisis" I am now a proud homeowner!
