This is another reason that we need ONE national language - English.  Its fine if you CHOOSE to learn multiple languages.  Its maddening when someone is forced to learn another language to accomidate people who refuse to learn the common language of the country and citizens they are taking advantage of.

I am Italian and I speak ,obviously Italian and English as well,

before I moved to Usa I lived in UK where I could not speak English at all, over there I learned from the begin.

I disagree 100% with Obama,

Obama was the one I thought had everything all right to be the new US' president, but not anymore under my point of view.

IF YOU IMMIGRATE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICARE WITH THE NATIVES PEOPLE.

Every time I see this question I shake my head in amazement. You have to push one for English (which should be capitalized) because the company has set the automated attendant up that way. It has nothing to do with "Mexicans" nothing to do with illegals, nothing to do with the government, it is a companies way to market to the largest amount of people they can. If you don't like it complain to the business or better yet boycott, have your phone, cable and Internet turned off, if you have credit cards and  customer service has an English prompt cancel all of them, take your money out of the bank (they all have English prompts) give your home back to the mortgage company, your car back to the finance  company.. REFUSE to do any business at all with anyone who has that kind of phone system. While your at it make sure you check the legal status of every person in your favorite restaurants, any hotel or motel, don't use any business that may use illegal landscaping or gardening service.. take a stand!!!! And then please tell us how that worked for you.

Because the multinational corporation that you do business with has more than one language base that they sell to.

They HAVE to accommodate the market.

If you want to make a statement, quit complaining to people who cannot do anything about it...simply do not do business with that company. I would write them a nasty letter explaining why.  They will not care...primarily because they are capitalists who only answer to the rules of the marketplace.
