  1. I wouldn't worry about it. It's more an obsessive compulsive disorder than anything else.

  2. Well I have heard recycle one pop can will save enough energy to power a television for 17 hours! Recyling also keeps product prices lower because it makes the packaging materials cheaper.

  3. We cannot move to another planet

  4. IDK I guess because you think about the well being of the planet and what kinda place you'll be leaving future generations...Maybe??

  5. because if i can help some body with the things i dont want

  6. Our trash company does that for us.  Why not just go with a trash collector who does they for you?  I don't even have to put things in separate bins.

  8. You recycle to reduce the amount of trash, can you just imagine what the world will be like if we didn't recycle, you will be looking for a piece of clean land to live in and all find is mountains of wait that will take centuries to decompose.so by recycling you contribute in the process of re-using our waste, help the environment and lower the cost of anything that you buy from retails.

It so inconvenient, just going to exercise, no time, sometimes painful but the results  are worth the effort.

I know you don't have a car but you can do the following:

1-call the city and they will give the location where you can do your recycling.

2- take a bus and go there.

3- Ask a friend to drop you off.

4- Find out if the management company of your building can have their waste disposal company do one pick up a week . I work for a management and our waste disposal company pick the recycling items from each blg. We have set two recycling bins, one for paper and the other for glass/metal.

5- Quand on veut, on peut ( where there is a will , there is a way).

  9. Ask the local council or whoever to bring in curbside recycling so all you have to do is sort your recyclable items into bins or similar and place them outside on the correct day. I don't see why aprtment buildings couldn't have their own recycling bins which get collected either- one for glass, another for paper, plastic etc.

  10. because you helping the enviroment and it's the right thing to do!

  11. Make it convenient! Gather your  neighbors and discuss the importance of recycling, then contact your apartment manager about getting some recycling bins. Have the manager work with the recycling coordinator in the city where you live.

You might contact the recycling coordinator ahead of time and let the person know your apartment building is ready to GO GREEN and help recycle.

Cool - a new thing to add to your resume: Apartment Recycling Coordinator.

    If that won't work

    - pop your stuff in a reusable bag and ride your bike or walk to the recycling center.

    - find someone in your building who has transportation who is willing to take the recyclables. Might even be worth a trade for, say, baked goods, a bottle of wine, or a good pot of spaghetti?

To quote Gandhi, You must be the change you want to see in the world!

  12. Because it's the right thing to do ! Ask any of the Old Timers about the Scrap Metal Collection Drives that helped us win WW II. Also, I'd be willing to bet that if you put forth the Effort, you'd find someone in your Apartment Building that is Environmentally Conscious, and would be willing to help out with Recycling by letting you mix yours with theirs. Might be a good way to meet someone special ! Is there a Community Bulletin Board available in your Area, either a real one, or a Virtual On-Line Version ? I bet there is, and there is probably a group of People in your Area that would help you out. Try it !

  13. Although reycycling may seem inconvenient, you can store your recyclables in a blue box and then go to your nearest recycling depot every week or other week. It is important to recycle for the following reasons:

Saves Natural Resources - By making products from recycled materials instead of new, raw materials, we conserve land and reduce the need to drill for oil and dig for minerals.

Saves Energy - It usually takes less energy to make recycled products; recycled aluminum, for example, takes 95% less energy than new aluminum from bauxite ore.

Saves Clean Air and Water - In most cases, making products from recycled materials creates less air pollution and water pollution than making products from pure, raw materials.

Saves Landfill Space - When the materials that you recycle go into new products, they don't go into landfills or incinerators, so landfill space is conserved.

Saves Money and Creates Jobs - The recycling process creates far more jobs than landfills or incinerators, and recycling can frequently be the least expensive waste management method for cities and towns.

    Good luck!

  14. The reason we have to recycle now is because MAN made everything "convenient"

  15. Because the world wasn't created just to be convenient for you.
