I just bought a color laser printer (HP CP1215) and it's asking me to register my printer.

Is it necessary?

What are the advantages/disadvantages?

  1. If it breaks...NO WARRANTY because you didn't register it!


  2. they give you discounts somtimes but its not really worth it unless you like usless emails being sent to you

  3. ITS JUST SO THEY CAN SEE HOW MANY PRINTERS THEY ARE SELLING AND TO OFFER YOU SPECIAL PROMOTIONS AND NEW PRODUCT ITS NOT MANDATORY OR AFFECT YOUR PRODUCT IN ANY WAY, ITS UP 2 YOU

  4. Definitely, for the warranty & also any updates that may be required due to changes in your  OS that may require updates to your printer
