Why should I vote for Obama?

I just don't understand what people see in him. If he wants to tax the rich, then why should I work? Why shouldn't I just mooch off the government like other people do. I'm not trying to start a political fight or anything, but I just don't think he has any good ideas at all. So please. Enlighten me.

I totally agree with you. Have you noticed that he doesn't answer questions directly?  He changes the subject. Is this what we want from our next president?

the really sad part is the thinks anyone making $250,000 a year is "rich" and should be taxed more.  The majority of small businesses fall in this category and claim all that income as personal income so most small businesses (at least successful ones) will get hit really hard by his tax plan, as will retirees living on income from investments.  (Since in wants to increase the taxes on capitol gains; think about that teachers, and union retirees).   He reads a really good speech, but there is no substance to him.

1. McCain has over 30 yrs of proven experience, character, leadership, personal ethics, clear vision on American needs, proven knowledge of foreign affairs, lower taxes, proven judgment,Graduated from the United States Naval Academy,US congressman for 26 years,ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee,Chairman of the powerful Senate Commerce Committee,Member of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs,has voted with his party only 63% of the time showing he is willing to put the country ahead of political parties. John McCain a REAL PATRIOT  has 17 Medals, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross and 4 Commendations and 2 Citations,to earn those commendations,McCain stayed in the POW camp, not for future political leverage, but because he put the good of all before his own well being.That alone is proof of a great leader!! What do you have an Obama bumper sticker?  

2.Obama the Junior Senator. He has only been a Senator for 18 months.But with all the recesses, four day weekends, campaigning and absences, Obama has only spent about 6 weeks of workdays on the Senate floor as one of the most extreme liberal junior Senators,voted with his party 97% of the time according to an independent study (the highest percentage of any senator). Most of his votes, about 80% when he was not absent, have been "present"  or "abstain".

He also chairs a committee on Afghanistan that has never met because the chairman has never called a meeting. As a trial lawyer he only tried 14  cases in court - and minor ones at that.

As a "community organizer" his major cause was getting the asbestos out of  a housing project. After 2 years of trying, the asbestos was still there when he left and is still there even now that he is a Senator and presumably has some pull to get things done.

That's it. Obama's entire real world work resume. 145 days experience in the Senate with nothing to show for it, only 3 bills passed.  Zero military experience, Quick trip to Middle East, Never physically worked a hard day in his life……Barack Obama barely qualifies to work in a McDonalds. We wont even mention his devotion to extremist, radical and racist religious views for which he was ingrained and worshipped for the past twenty years.Two years as a lawyer and only 14 minor trials. And two years as a "community organizer" with nothing  accomplished.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which one to chose does it?

Even Joe Biden tells us who he knows is the better candidate his quotes:

You shouldn't. On the outside, I kind of want a Democratic person, and I think obama is kinda cool. But deep in side, I know hes the wrong one. I think and know that america can live 4 years with another republican. Obama and his wife is lying to the americas. They would say anything to get elected. And they go to like every HIGH POPULATED state, so they can meet the people, so they can vote for him. Then he gets all the most points. What a cheater. He needs respect for the poor people.

i really dont know anything about politics, or anything about what both upcoming presidents belive in or anything, but from watching them both on t.v., i think obama seems like a much nicer and trusting man. i mean, when can people stop looking at other's beliefs and just like the president for him being a nice person? i mean seriously lol.

I'll just address the one issue you mentioned. If you're not high-income, then he won't raise your taxes. We have an enormous debt now, thanks to the irresponsible spending under W. We have to pay it off somehow, while continuing to fund the military. Obama is not saying let's tax the rich so we can give it to the poor. He wants to tax the rich so that we can balance the budget and protect the country. Yeah, it's too bad that someone has to be taxed hard, but someone really does, and the middle class can't afford it right now.
