Why should I wash my towel if I use it after showering and am clean anyway?

  1. I usually wash my towel after I use it a few times.

  3. damp material is a breeding ground for bacteria.  have you ever had a dish rag on the sink too long and smelled it?  That nasty smell is from bacteria feeding off the little bits of food left on the dish rag.  Same thing with towels.  Bacteria feed off of your dead skin cells that come off when you dry.  You don't have to get a new towel everyday, but at least every other day is good.

  4. you don't have to every day.... but remember, you are sloughing off dead skin cells as you dry off, so you'll want to wash it after a few uses!

  5. Your dead skin cells rub off and stick to it. It's normal. Same reason you wash your clothes, even if you didn't sweat or spill anything on them.
