  1. A child should go to nursery for a number of reasons. They have to develop their social skills. Preparation before they go to Primary School and also gives the parents some time off

  2. go to head start in brainerd mn thats where i went

  3. Social skills for a start.  To give you a break is another reason.  A headstart in education, your child will learn maths, communication, art, music and much more.

  4. so they how its like without there mom with them or dad thats y i had to go

  5. So they could learn lots of stuff like being without thier parents and learning some skills to get ready for school!

  6. they will meet new people, get an opportunity to see what school is like before elementary school, they will have a headstart in education

  7. I'm going to buck the trend and tell you why a child should NOT go to nursery school. I have four children and except for the oldest one and a short time for the second child none of my children have been to preschool/nursery school.

You can teach your child their abcs and 123s at home just as good as at a preschool. You have actually been teaching your child since birth.(You have taught them to walk, eat, talk, etc) . You are their first teacher.

Social skills are learned everyday from the way your family interacts with each other and people out in the world. Some people may argue with me and say kids need to be around other kids. There are plenty of Mommy and Me groups, MOPS(Mothers Of PreschoolerS) and other such groups were you and your child can meet other parents and kids.

So I hope this helps answer your question

  8. Several reasons-- the child gets used to leaving the house everyday at the same time and being with adults other than the parents, the child will learn to accept the authority of an adult other than the parents (the teacher), the child will learn to interact with other children and how to get along with them- eg sharing, taking turns, working together to solve a problem, etc.  Also, some preschools will teach the very beginnings ,of "school stuff" like learning the alphabet and counting.  Assuming the child can learn those things, s/he will have a big advantage when kindergarten starts.

  9. To start learning from a very young age.

  10. to get a better start. to learn important social skills. to learn from an earlier age to get a long with other kids. to learn things like the alphabet, art, and maybe even math.

  11. It's not really essential, my kids don't. We homeschool so the issue of learning to get out the door isn't needed for us. At home your child will still learn lots, make friends and be loved for. Everyone needs a break sometime but that's what family and friends are for. I have nothing against preschools/nursery schools but they aren't totally necessary.

  12. So a child will become more social and they can interact with the other children their age, and get him/her ready for school.

It also helps because if a child is not used to leaving a parent  they can get used to it by only going for a time shorter than a school day.

    Hope this help =]

  13. They need to learn how to get on with other kids. (Social skills - not ABCs.)

Some kids at this age are feral - and need to learn how to get on with others. Other kids need to learn how to cope with irrational human beings (ie not adults).

  14. So they can be prepared for kindergarten and so they can learn social skills. Also so they can learn reading, writing, and much more. Another reason is because they could have a better idea of how school is going to be and so they can be prepared for their future when they enter Kindergarten that is.

  15. GETTING ADJUSTED TO THE SCHOOL WHERE HE WILL STUDY FOR MANY YEARS

  16. I have a simple awnser 4 u: i'm 13, i went 2 nursery school & i have an end of college reading level

  17. to get interactive

  18. To get an education, of course. Cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, social, emotional, spiritual etc skills are all fostered through early childhood education. There is a noticeable difference between children that go into their formal schooling years with no prior education and children who have gone to preschool. They cope better and they do better in general.
