My older sister cursed me out last night becuz she introduced me to this guy dat go to Cornell Universty wit her. He a nice guy but I'm just not wit that geeky stuff. My sista said he is a black man wit education and he gonna make it in life. We went on a date and he like me but he ain't my type. So when I told my sista I don't like him, she yelled at me and said that it's black chicks like me that make the good black men go for the white girls. Then she also critisized my taste in men and said sum hurtfull things about my kids fathers. I'm into the street thug type. But that wasn't fair for her to say. She hurt my feelings. What shud I say to her?

  1. i dont think its color, if u dont like they guy then u just dont like the guy

  2. nothing! she was right! That fact that you have "baby's fathers" is a prime example of what she is talking about. THUG STREET TYPES OF MEN WILL ALWAYS BE THAT. they dont want anything out of life than what they have besides money. and they dont want to work hard for it, they want to find an easy way of getting it (selling drugs, stealing ect) but the fact that you have multiple children by multiple men should be a prime example that those men are no good for you. If they were you'd be with one of them right? So in that aspect, she is right.

with that being said, she was very wrong with blaming women like you for black me going to white women. Why does it have to be that a black woman ruined it for a man to be attracted to white women, or women of any other race for that matter. That's like saying all mixed races of people are the product of their parents being hurt by their races of men and women. And your sister's theory of a "good black man"...what does she consider a good black man? Just being a college graduate doesNOT make you a good black man. Educated, yes.

I'm a black female, but I'm attracted to White men, Black men , Hispanic men, MEN FROM ALL OVER! and there is nothing wrong with that. What is meant to be is mean to be and my black ex boyfriend has nothing to do with my Brazilian Fiance.

Thats whats wrong with some black people today! dont get me started! WOW we have got to get it together!

Oh yeah, and no one can say I'm racist because I am black!

    Get your head together.

  3. Tell her to bring it down a notch it aint that serious. We are all different and should be respected for this. You preference is yours not hers. Tell her to back down on the dissing and cursing out cause you respect hers if she will respect yours.

  4. Don't say anything. Your opinion and taste is different. If she dated the kind of men you dated then she might agree with you turning him down, but that is not the case.

You are entitled to your preference. Tell her that if you say anything at all.

  5. ur "kids fathers" ???? did u just use the plural there??

so u have more than 1 child with different fathers?..if so (and i in no way mean to judge u) then u ought stop feeling so offended and actually listen to what she is saying!!

because if u not married, and have Children! with different Fathers! then u need to realize u making the wrong Choices!!

  6. I'd say that just because you have a personal preference for certain types of men, doesn't give you the reach to say that because of me, I'm the one who drives the kind that you like away. They're just not my type and if they're better suited for you, congratulations. But they're not who I like and to make the largely improbable assumption that they're good for every black woman is absurd.

  7. You should tell her just that - that she hurt your feelings. Explain to her that he wasn't your type, and you're not gonna go against your personal standards just to please your sister. She can't generalize that just because you didn't want to date an educated black man, that ALL black women don't want to date educated black men. If in the future she tries to introduce you to men, tell her she clearly doesn't know your taste - and maybe you two can laugh about it.

  9. Learn proper english!

  10. Tell her to mind her own d**n business!

  11. Don't let that bother you... Your sisters opinion is her own issue that she's dealing with.  Don't let her push her desires or ideas onto you.  You have a preference of guys that you like... Not that the rough neck street thug is a good choice, but hey... it's your type.

Your sister knows that the "street thug" will only hurt you in the end and could be "potentially" dangerous to your well being. So, she's only trying to look out for your best interest.  She is however, wrong for saying that it's women like you, that cause black men to go find white women.

Maybe she's hurt that she can't find a man for herself and wants to blame someone for the reason she doesn't have one.  Who knows, but who cares??

Tell her to butt out and mind her own business and worry about finding a man of her own to be happy with.  Both white and black women alike, have a preference of what type of man they're interested in.  The average woman doesn't want someone whose geeky or shy...  So, it's not just you.

I like a little rough neck in my guy too, but I don't want the thug part... you can have that:):)  Thugs have a stigma about them and a lot of it is true, so i'll take my chances with without the thug life in him:):)
