Why should i be capitan ?

In my class fotbal(soccer) team i am capitan but it whill be voted if i will be , or a coleg . What arguments should i bring ? I give idications , i engurage them and my oponent to the capitan band , he descurage them ....... I know i deserv it , to be capitan is evrything to me . Sorry about my bad english , i'm romanian.

You get more respect from your team and the arm band draws attention to you, which means you get noticed.

talk about your passion for the game and the leadership you will bring as being captain. Also you stay cool under pressure which is vital to being captain. You can calm situations down and you have the ability to gain respect from other team mates. your will to never give up and determination is a must as being captain. make sure you express how much you feel about being captain. Also you must talk a lot some times tactical and sometimes giving out confidence to players. hope this helps. JJ

It doesn't matter where you come from, the

position of Team Captain is a responsibility.

You are the representative of your team and your

coach. You are the next step below that of the coach

due to the fact that you are his " Voice" on the field.

Respect of your team in the abilities of the player

being the Captain is a given. You must  along with

your Goalie be capable of directing your squad

in both offense and defensive strategies. Your word

is gospel so you must have the interests of your team

in mind at all times. If you are seeking this position

for notoriety, don't. You are the one player next to the

goalie that will be viewed with scrutiny. Captain ship

of your squad is coming with a price. Can you pay it?

Your communication skills and your ability to lead

are paramount and will be the points most emphasized.

Personally I feel maybe you should be a follower for

little bit longer so you can become more proficient

in the understanding of the responsibilities of the

Squad captain on the Soccer Field. It's not that you

deserve it,  It's a responsibility that hard work and

respect will have to earn for you.

If you really want it that badly, talk about the passion you'll bring towards the responsibility of being team captain. You'll find the words, trust me. Being team captain is a big responsibility and a central defender has a good shot at being captain as they are commanding at the back. You'll have to organise your back four, show them the your desire to be a leader and they will pick you.
