Why should john mccain be elected president?

Honestly I think that John McCain has several arguments in his favor.  The first is his military experience.  Like it or not, we are in a war right now, and McCain makes a good point that someone with military experience should lead a war.  Another push for McCain is his recently announced Vice Presidential pick in Gov. Sara Palin.  She has more executive experience, as she has readily pointed out, than either Obama or Biden with her time as mayor and governor in Alaska.  Some also claim that she will attract women's votes that would have otherwise supported Hillary.

However, I personally believe that Obama has a much better shot at the job.  He claims that his experience running his presidential campaign for nearly 2 years excedes Mrs. Palin's executive experince.  Mr. Obama also seems to have much more charisma and energy than the 71-year-old McCain.  Finally, Obama's team tends to focus more on the positive platforms such as proposing solutions to health care, the economy, and the energy crisis; while McCain seems to be focusing more on attacking Obama than building his own offence.

Also, in the event that the president dies in office or is forced to resign, many experts agree that it would be more important to have someone with good experience with Washington and foregin affairs than when we first elect the new president.  Joe Biden seems to have that advantage over Mrs. Palin.
