Why should kids not have chores?

Im asking why should they have chores ...im asking why should kids not have chores!!!! And i dont have chores so dont call me lazy

Who told u that kids cannot have chores.  They need to have chores otherwise they will become lazy

if your kids are under 3 i would say it would be hard but if you dont give them chores how will they learn to respect things and how to take care of themselfs i would say when they get about 5 or 6 years old you can have them do small things . i let my daughter wipe off the cabinets in my kitchen (the ones that sit on the floor). She and her brother also like to wash the floor (any reason to get wet i guess.)

If they don't have chores how do think they will learn to work and be succesful? Thats how they learn, it doesn't just happen.

What do you consider chores?  Picking up toys is not a chore, it is just something you do.  

Putting your shoes away is something you do, not a chore.  Other than that, I really don't think kids should do "housework"

thats my job not thiers.  They go to school, have homework etc.   That's enough!

because we are lazy...but, indeed i think we do need chores in our lives so we won't be lazy.

Depending on the age it makes a difference what it is their doing. The chore should fit the age. dont give a 3yr old something a 9yr old would do. keep it simple. I started my kids at the age of 5yrs old doing things like putting their toys away after playing then explain to them why its important to do so, then reward then at the end of the week with a movie or something for a job well done. my kids are now 11 and 7 and still likes to help around the house so it paid off starting early...

I believe that everyone that lives in this house is expected to help out in a number of ways.  Everyone has their jobs. No where in life do you ever get an free ride. So by starting kids out early with responsibilities..( yikes yes chores) you will teach them how to be productive as they get older.
