the pro child support people like to create this pitcher of a deadbeat dad. first of all; moms are forced to pay too.And pay less often than dads.and the justification of this practice of child support is often uses the poor signal mom for justification.well father and mother start new families long before the children are grown.so we have opened the possibility for a vast opportunity for unjust situations. It is the children that suffer.Just because one is paying support for one dose not mean they don't have children at home.

  1. I totally agree with your argument.   The Court system is clueless in thinking that a male, in particular, cannot afford to pay for child support when the marriage was still solid.  Many people do not realize that nearly 50 percent of the population is close to bankruptcy.  Yes, a parent should support his children.  But, the Courts are oblivious to the fact that many people cannot support themselves.  But, these "officers of the court" make a living out taking "no-win"  cases like you describe to an endless series of hearings.  Maybe, the liberal who run the court system could step back and think that maybe a teenager should not have a child.  But, this is not n**i Germany and this is a new approach that started sometime in the 70s or 80s.  The courts used to recognize that a worker of a certain income could not afford to live out of the marriage home and do more than support himself.  All of this is done by computer printout that the court system accepts as the gold standard on what a man has to pay.  Disclaimer: I have no family and no obligations.  I am not pro-male or pro-female.  Just opposed to the extreme demands and expenses the courthouses are running up in the name of justice.  It is a falsehood to say that justice is being dispensed in these proceedings.

  2. Fair is fair. It was what the parents agreed to and by court order, must obey.

  3. Where did you take English?

  4. It has been the position of the government that parents should be responsible for their children.

If parents separate, that doesn't end their responsibility.

It is not perfect, but that is the rationale of child support.

Even if you make less than the person you are supporting, supposedly the kid(s) benefit.
