The County of Arlington, Virginia is a top-notch place to live and to visit.  It has a high quality of life, a very educated population, a very low unemployment rate, some of the best schools in the nation, lots of great restaurants and hotels, a relatively low crime rate, great bike/walking trails, a strong public library system and an efficient and responsive local government.  All that, plus a great transportation system that will get you into downtown DC in 15 minutes.

Places for visitors to see include the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima), the new Air Force Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon, Theodore Roosevelt Island in the Potomac, and our several shopping malls including Ballston and Pentagon City.

The best reason I can think of is to visit Arlington National Cemetary and pay your respect to all the men and women that gave up their lives for our freedom.
