jennifer just because you got nailed lifting condoms or tampons from the grocery store and spent time in jail doesn't mean the system is completely unfair. perhaps some criminals are just smarter than you.

Simple Answer - The Police are Stuiped. They can catch a person who didn't pay their ticket, but then can have a rapest in a lineup who eventually goes free.

Im also tired of EVERYONE who decides to microwave or kill their children, going free. All because they plead insanity. Yes they are insane, stick their butts (I don't like to cuss) in a mental ward, or give them the death penalty, every life matters no matter  what age they are.

Personaly I think that we have a stuiped government for letting these things happen. But that's just me.

First you have to be caught to go to jail.  While in jail you get bail which some people pay and can be free from jail while waiting for there trial.  People in jail for small things sit there because there court hearing is coming up and choose to stay in jail for 2 days instead of paying thousands for there last few moments of freedom before going to prison.

The justice system is strange.  I have noticed that as well, the system really works strange.  The victims are scarred for life.  They are afraid and ashamed of what's happened to them.  They should be able to feel safe again.  I wish something could be done about this.

People go to jail for small things because prisons are big business in the states (I guess that's where you are?). They are usually set up near small towns that couldn't even operate without the prison being there to provide employment etc.

So because prisons are good for the economy the govt. is happy to send people to prison, yes even for small things.

Hmm as for rapists being out on the streets I guess they have either done their time inside and have been released or they haven't been caught yet.
