Why should people not pay for rnli/ coastguards/ navy/potholers to rescue people that call for help?

these people put there lives on the line as well for a lot of thoughtless people keep up the good work

  1. We pay for the eejits who choose to demolish their health by smoking, drinking, taking drugs etc. We have no choice in the matter as it is taken from our hard earned wages each week. I think it's a scandal that the services you are talking about, are not included in the taxes that we pay. Why should these hard working folk rely on charity donations!!!


  2. I know in Puget sound you get a bill if they come help you.

    I had my dive business there for 7 years, and monitored emergency channels.

    We would go out and help then charge for the help.(we told them price in advance) Usually a lot less than the agencies charged.

    Made a lot of boating friends that way.
