Why should someone study spanish in Mexico?

If you don't study Spanish, you wouldn't be able to communicate. You also might need it for the purpose of getting around. It is quite important to learn Spanish, especially if you go to Mexico.

Depending on what you want to do with Spanish when your done Work in the US? Travel in Latin America? Add something to things you've done?

But learning Spanish in Mexicon will be a faster and more effective way to get the language.  The signs, the music, the way you live your life will be in Spanish. No breaks, so you get more "learning" time.  And, you're learning how people talk not textbook.  

Logistically, it's relatively inexpensive if you have the time, an adventure and you will learn a lot about yourself outside your comfort zone.
