Why should staff and care workers promote and support the rights of clients?

This is for a health and social care course. I want some of your views please : )

Surely it would be the correct attitude to take. It would provide a validation of the work they do; it promotes transparency and would be included in any Best practice guide. They are, after all, in the Support industry. Not to actively promote the legal rights of clients would be contrary to the general job description; no to uphold, or work contrary to, the rights of clients would, in itself, be unlawful

Because they are the link between those who are vulnerable in the community and those in the community who do not understand that vulnerability.
