  1. These questions are getting a little old, most of America could be considered a disaster prone area. We have areas with great tornado activity, areas with earthquake activity, areas with hurricane activity, areas with ice storms, flooding, drought and fire.

What happened to our unity? This is probably one of the saddest problems of America today, no longer are we united in anything. Americans cannot seem to stand united over it's wars, government, president, laws and now so many want to turn their backs on their fellow Americans.

I happily give my tax dollars to rebuilding someone else's life, someone who did not cause a natural disaster, but who never-the-less was affected by it.

  2. Because... the purpose of taxes is so that the government can afford to provide for its citizens regardless of their location???

  3. As a general whole, it doesn't make any sense. Then we would have even more overpopulated cities due to fleeing other parts of the country. That's also a burden. As for NOLA...I kinda do have a problem with that being rebuilt, there is not much you can do to make that city safe. But as for natural disasters, most of them are not predictable. Earthquakes? Every state is at risk, so don't kid yourself. Tornados? Again, everywhere.
