  1. Because of the rights and privileges that come along with marriage (tax breaks, insurance, etc.).  As a result, people may have ulterior motives for marriage - marriage is supposed to be for the purpose of love and that jazz.

  2. Government dont are and shouldnt care who marries whom.

B ut states should have the right to regulate if its legally

allows the right to be viewed and indowed with all the rights

    that marriage brings. cheers

  3. well some couples gets tax cuts or instantly become american citzens if they marry a american citzen

  4. i care because they said that g*y marriage was in the states Constitution and it wasn't

  5. the issue on the government side is two fold.

What constitutes a legal marriage, yes they are required to define and enforce the law.

And more urgent is the assignment of benefits, including social security, insurance, death benefits, land rights, ownership rights, etc .

Many laws will need to be re-written and written correctly and carefully so as not to interfere with existing laws intended to protect families and citizens. A badly written law can s***w things up for a long time.

  6. because people who think it is against their particular religion dont like it b/c homosexuality supposedly to them perverts the society.  b/c homosexuality "created p**n and perversions such as p**n and weird fettishes..etc."

and people who think these things vote for people in government positions who can control this.

  7. Legalizing it????  I thought IT was already legal.  If there's nothing wrong with IT, why does IT need to be legalized.....

  8. I care and that is all you need to know.  Same s*x marriage is a tool of the enemy to weaken the country.  At your age you may not be able to see that yet.  It takes some experience to see how this is important.  Unfortunately many younger citizens will learn it the hard way.   We have five people on the Supreme court who are ever so eager to destroy the constitution of the United States.  Again, it takes some life experience to understand how and why the constitution is so critical to our strength and survival.

  9. the government don't care... they care only when it concerns their constituents who will vote for them.. that why they are voted right.. to care for what the public wants them to care about.. tell the public why should they care who gets married to who...

  10. I don't think the government should care about that sorta stuff. Its their business, and theirs alone.

  11. because the Legally married term put then eligible for tax credits and benefits designed for people that can have kids and make families

  12. The Republican Governor of California believes in g*y marriage.  Get over it.  Republicans have proven themselves to be extremely pro-g*y these eight years, and changed all sorts of laws, like this one.  Who'd a thunk after their big "values" vote theme that they would prove to be so supportive of g*y marriage?  Everyone deserves to marry their true love, and thanks to Republicans, this is now possible.

  13. the "government" doesn't care. the people who elect the government care.

  14. they shouldn't, i think its so lame that the government tries to tell people who they should be with and whatnot.
