  1. Why should the "American government" then not meet the same fate as Yugoslavia? America committed genocides in the 1800's in the continental U.S. and in Hawaii, and deposed native governments. America also enslaved millions of people. Yugoslavia did not try to wipe out populations with small pox blankets; neither did Israel. America did. So if you are american, you may want to keep your mouth shut on this one:).

  2. Did you ever read up on history?  They're very different situations...  I'm not even sure I can try and draw parallels other than the fact that the two countries had multiple nationalities living in them and that both countries had Muslims living in them...

  3. not sure what you mean

should it be broken up and then have a war killing may more Innocent people

  4. Bahira is correct; the two governments were twins in the 90's.

  5. They are quite similar but the zionist psuedo-government will not be dismantled because it has many, many friends in the U.S. Yugolavian-Americans do not have the power of Jewish-Americans.

  6. The world only intervenes in genocide when it is in their economic interests. The Armenian, Rwandan, and various other genocides were ignored--including the Holocaust!!--but intervening in Yugoslavia benefited the West financially.

  7. They are quite similar and the de jure government of Palestine should be dismantled.

  8. Zeep.... i feel that I'm typing to someone in another dimension.

"Israeli democracy" you say ? If only the Palestinians would change , you say !! Apparently only those who share a certain  belief about  Israel & Iraelis have some convoluted logic that makes Palestinians seem similar to n***s.

The Knesset a  "Parlimentary democracy ?" . Well i suppose in the same way the old South Africa was a parlimentary democracy .

If you choose to ignore Amnesty international , Human Rights Watch & the International courts condemnation of israels appetite for slaughter ,  & disproportinate responses , then i suppose you can say they have no similarity with the former Yugoslavia.

Zionism is by definition racism & must be countered by every descent fair minded person with an ounce of humanity.

  9. Israeli government fate is by far worse than the fate of Yugoslavia.

Israeli government is a colonial government with no peace plan for its citizens.

  10. Possibly because of the lack of any similarity between the government of Israel and the former nation of Yugoslavia, which fell apart when the cold war no longer forced its ethnic groups to live together.  Apparently only those who share certain beliefs about "Palestine" and "Palestinians" have read some convoluted logic that makes Israel seem similar to Yugoslavia.

Why should the "Palestinian terrorists" not meet the same fate as Czechoslovakia?  This is about as much sense as you are making to me.  I feel like I am typing to someone from another dimension.

Perhaps the Israeli government could continue to function as a parliamentary democracy and the "Palestinian refugees" could elect representatives who would negotiate the formation of an independent state instead of who will keep their people in poverty and strap them into explosive vests.  Why should the "Palestinian leaders" not meet the same fate as the n**i war criminals who similarly tried to "ethnically cleanse" an entire nation of Jews while claiming to be victims of Jews?  They seem very similar to me.  They even quote old n**i propaganda, as do their supporters here daily.  Opinions?

Drew, thank you for sharing your opinion from the dimension of anti-Semitic distortion.  I come from the land of reality, where Amnesty International condemns practices of Americans, Palestinians, Israelis, Chinese, and nearly every country of the world in hopes of making a better world.  I have supported them with my contributions for several decades, and unlike you I do not hear them denying the existence of democracy in Israel proper.  Unlike you, they are not selective in condemning evil on the part of either side of any conflict.  If you were to bother to, say, click on their web page, you would see their reports this year about human rights violations in Gaza by Israelis, by Egyptians, and by the Palestinian Authority.  They are fair; your post is not.

It's not very convoluted - certainly not by the standards of this forum - to compare two groups whose main focus was on denying Jewish rights, saying they didn't belong in the motherland of another people, and killing innocent Jewish people with the purpose of creating a Jew-free country.   Especially when the current group spouts the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and makes up stories about Jews preventing a Palestinian state - created in 1948 next to Israel and taken away instantly by Arabs, not Jews - the way Hitler made up stories about Jews being responsible for Germany's problems after losing WWI.  Demonize Jews with phrases like "appetite for slaughter" when in fact they are the ones seeking peace and mourning accidental loss of Palestinian life, not the ones blowing up Israeli children and dancing in the street to celebrate it, or teaching their children to mimic photos of Palestinian hands red with Jewish blood.  The n***s used similar phrases and made similar blood libel charges.  Blame the Jews for what they didn't do, go out of your way to kill them, and say it's in self-defense of your people - seems pretty darn similar to me!  I  admit it's not the best analogy, but it's an awful lot better than Yugoslavia, South Africa, or, dunno, what else do I read here daily - Israel as a European colony of Russian Jews?

While your dimension where the Knesset is similar to South Africa is fascinating in its failure to relate to reality, Arabs vote in Israel, Arabs vote in the Knesset, and nothing about apartheid relates to Israel.  Look up "apartheid" in the dictionary and tell me what the heck you and fellow Jew-haters are thinking?  Well, no, you won't do that, so let me:

    n.

An official policy of racial segregation formerly practiced in the Republic of South Africa, involving political, legal, and economic discrimination against nonwhites.

A policy or practice of separating or segregating groups.

The condition of being separated from others; segregation.

There is no segregation of Jews and Arabs, no denial of equal rights to Arab citizens of Israel, no political, legal, or economic discrimination against the Arab citizens of Israel.  Israel is like South Africa after Mandela was elected - all have equal rights and always have by law.   As far as I can figure after a few years of this new hate speech, it means that Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, areas Egypt and Jordan refused to take back, refused to give to Palestinians in 1948, and that the Palestinians refuse to accept a state in even today - are not treated as equal citizens in Israel, where they are not citizens and do not live.  Sort of like I can't vote in Iran because I'm not a citizen there (and I do not claim this is because of Iranian apartheid).  Yes, it is awful that they live under occupation.  I would love them to live in their own state.

But any of you, how would you, I wonder, if you had power beyond typing at a keyboard and were the leader of Israel, make Palestinians accept a two-state solution, so that they could have the rights and dignity they deserve?  You can lead a horse to Oslo or Camp David or Spain, but you can't make Arafat or Abbas or Hamas drink and sign a piece of paper and accept a state in the West Bank and Gaza and compromises on east Jerusalem and the right of return.  You just get "Intifada: The Return" and rockets and bombs and complaints that there isn't a Palestinian state you offered to help create and people calling you n***s and apartheid and now Yugoslavians, and wonder what hit you.  I suppose you and many here wouldn't want a two-state solution, though, if you think "Zionism is racism".

Zionism is the belief that we Jews have a right to a homeland.  If that is racist, so is the belief that Palestinians have the right to a homeland.  Those who believe Palestinian Jews have no right to a country but think Palestinian Arabs do are simply arguing racism.  Something that should be fought by any decent fairminded person with an ounce of humanity, if I may paraphrase you.   If only there were more such people who just wanted Jews and Palestinians to be nice to each other instead of to wipe one or the other off the map after demonizing them.  That's what I want - a peaceful democratic Jewish state next to a peaceful democratic Palestinian state.  In the real world, not the world of racist propaganda (which sadly exists here, not really in another dimension)  I think Israelis and Palestinians are just human beings who all deserve peace and justice, as do we all.

What do you object to about that idea?

(And Drew, I do not mean to pick on you in particular - I am disputing things said by many others in this forum; you just offered a response that seemed to invite a reply - I do not mean to imply that your anti-Semitic remarks are worse than those of many neo-n**i sorts in this forum).

  11. lets see the government of Yugoslavia was a communist dictatorship with no outside foreign daily attacks.was over thrown and tore it self apart with ethic hatred.

The Israel government is a liberal democracy that's is being attacked daily by foreigners.the government is very solid with vast internal support.

there does not seem to be any similarities at all

  12. It should; the two governments are quite similar in terms of brutality, ethnic cleansing and general lawlessness. Sharon was a great admirer of Milosovic. He opposed the U.S./NATO intervention.
