  1. Trees roots hold together large portions of earth/soil from erosion. They also provide food/shelter for animals. They Produce Oxygen and take out carbon dioxide from the air. That's always a plus.

When we cut down a tree, we essentially have destroyed Birds/insects/plants that lived with that tree in harmony :3

The real question here is, why shouldn't we be saving trees? What makes us more important than the things that shared the the earth before us O-o

  2. Oxygen.  That's always a plus.

  3. Without trees.  The tree climbing monkey will go into riots.

  4. Yeah, I'm quite keen on breathing.  Food's quite good too.  Oh, and drugs.  Erm... shelter.  Fuel.  Carbon capture and storage.  Prevention of soil erosion.  They look pretty.  Smell nice too sometimes.  Lots of reasons.

Probably the real question is 'what on earth makes us think that it's ok to behave in a way that threatens the survival of trees?'.

  5. oxygen, duh

but also bcuz of all the animals and plants and insects that live there especially in the rain forest. 1 ACRE of rainforest is cut down every second. also, over 100 plants and over 200 animal species become extict EVERY DAY bcuz of deforestation. in Madagascar, only 10% of its forests are left.

    depressing, huh? <3
