Why should u eat things that are cold after a tonsillectomy instead of hot?

everyone is telling me that i should eat ice cream instead of hot things, ive been drinking tea and soup (hot) is that wrong and why?

  1. Should be warm-cold soft foods.  Hot foods will afeect the vessels within the area that was cauterized and might cause bleeding.  Thus hindering the healing process


  2. Its not wrong it just can irritate the area

  3. You actually shouldn't eat either.  Food should be room temperature with the exception of a few popsicles here and there.  Hot foods will open up the wounds.
