  1. The current calls for boycotts are based on China's reaction to Tibetan protests. China's crackdown on the protests has reportedly led to Tibetan deaths, which people argue is further evidence of their poor human rights record (by the way, people protested China's hosting of the Olympics well before the current trouble in Tibet took place).

Should we boycott China or not? It depends on whether we believe China's behavior is correct or too extreme.

See this article for some info:

  2. Why SHOULDN'T we be? You've got your human rights abuses, tainted consumer goods, human rights abuses, environmental degradation, human rights abuses, undervalued currency, and human rights abuses. Take your pick.

  3. Because China has pumped a lot of money into Hillary Clinton's campaign in exchange for the missle technology Bill Clinton gave to them during his reign.

  4. Because China has us at wrapped and I don't think we should ever be placed in that predicament.  China has many rights violation issues and because they don't allow the media to enter without red tape, we don't know of their atrocities right now.  This is the  problem with countries that exist with dictators, many spooky things exist.
