  1. well if you want to be a rude, uncaring monster then be so. Just know you will either get women with low self esteem, or be alone.

  2. Being a gentleman is just good manners.

  3. It's basic etiquette.

Men, women and children should open doors for each other.

It's a small effort but shows great respect.

And btw, you won't get too far without being a gentlemen these day's ;)

    Take care..x

  4. Manners and courtesy, while a benefit for those around us, are not for other people. They are for us. Look, the reason we don't torture prisoners isn't so that the enemy won't torture our troops. It is because we don't want to be people who are torturers. I don't want to be ill-mannered or discourteous. I see as the same thing as being clean and groomed. Good for everyone else but I do it for me.

  5. Oh boy, you really are thinking like me!

I was talking to a woman who was complaining over how lonely her life was lately.  I, being a kind hearted guy, suggested to her that it was now OK to ask a guy out.  That there was no longer any need to sit back & wait for the phone to ring.

She looked at me like I was some sort of bug, & replied: "I wasn't raised that way!"  So I politely inquired, don't you think things have changed over the past 20 -30 years?

Her answer was: "Not for me".  & so I suggested some psychological counseling might be of benefit.  And can you believe it?  She became all offended!

  6. Because women want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to have the same rights as men, but they also want to be treated better.
