  1. According to Al Gore it's because of global warming. It's getting warmer causing the ice to melt and sea levels to rise. Just imagine if all of Antarctica melted, California probably wouldn't be the coast anymore.

  3. well global warming is melting the ice sheets... the sea levels won't rise because of this melting but certainly the wildlife habitats there will be disrupted.

  4. Global warming is affecting antartica as well as the rest of the world. The ice is melting and the animals who live there will have no where to go except into a whale's belly. The ocean levels will rise because of all the melted ice. This just can't be good. I think I'm moving to the moon.

  5. Jessica W gave a pretty good answer.  If CA floods, those of us who live there will have to pack up and move east.

    That will not happen in the near future though.  And there has been no real proof that the very slight global warming that has occurred is the result of human activity.  There has been a good deal of global warming since the last ice age.  And much of it has been for our benefit.
