If you have to ask, then you shouldn't believe. Go through life believing that humans have all this control and power over the world that we don't have. Believe that your existence is a lucky accident. Believe that life itself has no purpose other than to just live. On that note, if life has no real purpose, do any and every thing you ever wanted to do with total disregard for anyone else...after all, there is no reason to sacrifice your own wants, needs and desires, because there is no God? You can have morals but why deny yourself of anything? Life is short so indulge in every pleasure you can find no matter how weird, sick or perverted it may be. As long as it's legal, you won't go to jail. Believe that when you die the only thing waiting for you is decomposing in the grave because you have no soul.

We should believe in God because we have no one else to turn to when we hurt, when we are afraid, and when we feel forsaken by everyone.  If not God than who else?

first of all the spelling comes with a capital G... so it's God... and you have to believe in Him, trust Him, love Him, have faith in Him, devote yourself to Him, follow His teachings and yeah... read the Bible and apply it... because He's the only one who could save you...

We believe in our Creator in order to seek Him.  We seek Him because we know that love is good and that, if He exists, He must have put that knowledge in our heads.  We seek the author of love.

It depends on which god you’re talking about.

Humans have worshipped hundreds of gods, ranging from a single divinity to a wide pantheon. They can be cruel, kind, greedy, generous, vindictive, merciful, you name it, there’s a god who was it.

If god was a benevolent loving creator, then he/she/it will love you regardless if you believe in it or not.

If god was jealous or demanded tribute or worship, then that’s probably not the type of god you’d want to pray to.

Even though we’ve made strives in science, there is so much in the universe we don’t understand. So you can believe in god. Or not. There’re reasons for and against it, but ultimately it’s really up to you.
