Why should we care about John Edwards having an affair ?

If your not a good family man, does that make you no good for politics? If so why have so many presidents and good ones had affairs?

I don't care that he had an affair.

  I do care that he repeatedly LIED about it during a bid for his parties nomination.

I don't care one bit and ALL people lie, most of all people in politics!

Duplicity is duplicity. Also whilst in office any secrecy can lay the official open to blackmail.
