Why should we keep fighting?

What is there left in this world to fight for? What is the point in continuing going forwards? Why can't we rest and stop fighting? Why keep going on?

(not in the sense of war, but values, ideals, love or whatever you can think of)

  1. Believe it or not sometimes peaceful people must fight just to have peace again and that's what we are doing right now.

  2. We fight to protect what we believe is right. eg. I fight to protect the people of the earth.

  3. We can't rest for the same reason a river must flow, if it doesn't, it stops being a river and becomes a swamp.

We can't rest for the same reason the sun must revolve, if it doesn't, it stops being our light and there'd be no day.

  4. I suppose we should keep fighting because it means moving forward, and that's what we must all do, if we want to see a world that is better than it is, more peaceful than it is, and essentially more "worldly" than it is. This doesn't mean that we can not stop to rest, but this 'stop' should not be permanent. We keep fighting so we can move forward because although we can't go "backwards", we can not go any where either if we don't do anything, like the saying "Nothing ventured, nothing gained", which is exactly this - and we all want to move forwards because that is the only way that we can go, and it is forwards - to a better place, a better world, and a better life.

  5. They have our oil, we want it...just like the Native Americans had our land, and we took it.
