  1. If you're on the phone you can't properly focus, you can't check your blind spots, your mind is somewhere else, your thoughts are somewhere else, you only have one hand or your head it tilted, it's an extra thing you have to juggle, etc.

It's unsafe, and it's obvious when someone is doing it because they don't drive properly.

  2. That's pretty obvious pal.

  3. Apart from accidents???????   I've heard that talking on the cell and driving is as bad as driving drunk. I have enough trouble driving normally, if I use a cell or get drunk, its very dangerous to me and to innocent people.  Apart from accidents, people who talk on the cell and drive often drive stupidly which annoys other people.

  4. Put down the phone and drive!!

"I don't usually use exclamation points when I write, but this really annoys me. Two stories on the web this morning point out the danger and annoyance of people who talk or text message while driving. A third story warns about potential health risks of using mobile phones.

    1) Drivers who talk on the phone drive about two miles per hour slower compared to people who aren't on the phone, according to a University of Utah researcher. That's a waste of 20 hours per year of your time. Yahoo!/Reuters story

    2) Massachusetts lawmakers are considering a ban on texting while driving, after a man who was texting a friend swerved, struck and killed a 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle.

Yes, I've used my phone to call or text our assignment desk about a possible story, and when I've done so I've pulled to the side of the highway or into a parking lot. And yes, I also have a hands-free headset."

  5. Some people have a hard time driving and talking on a cell phone. They may weave from side to side in their lane, they may drive too slow, they may drive too fast, they may miss turns or exits, they may get lost. There are many things that may happen other than crashes. With some people, like me, who are smart enough to use a Bluetooth and are capable of operating a car and carrying on a conversation at the same time, there are no  effects. And furthermore, what boneheaded fk decided to include texting in the same sentence as talking? No one in their right mind texts while driving.

  6. It divides your attention from the task at hand; driving.  I miss the good old days when people had to stop at a pay phone to talk, thereby not endangering themselves or others.

  7. You need to focus on driving and pull over and stop if you need to talk.......

  8. why cant you wait till you get to where your going to use your cell phone. i hate people who drive and talk on their cell phones, they are listening to the person on the phone and not where they are driving

  9. u can get in a car accident

  10. apart from accidents????

Like thats not a good enough reason to not talk on your phone while you drive.

  11. i see u have no brain....
