Homework is beneficial for understanding the concepts and learning how to do something.

However, homework can be bad because if it is just "busy work, " then a person doesn't learn how to apply those concepts in real life.

i dunno, but i hate it! i mean we already go to school and do work for like 6 hours and then come home and do more homework! we need a break and we need free time!

Homework is to help us review what we learned in class and apply our knowledge to see if we really got it.

Homework can be bad because teachers tend to get overboard, thinking we only have *their* class and have no social life whatsoever and love to devote two hours of hour time for their homework assignments.

survival of the fittest.  social darwinism.  the state puts us through bs at school because that way only the smartest, most dedicated, most determined people will get good grades, get into good colleges, get good jobs, and make lots of money.  you  certainly can get rich without going to college but it;s a h**l of a lot harder.
