Question:

Why should we save the planet?

With all the constant talk of 'saving the planet' and stopping global warming, should we actually try to stop it? Perhaps in a way, this is humans transforming the planet to better suit us? Or that the contiued altering of the planet is the direct result of industrialised nations, putting pollutants wide into the world and atmosphere. Please understand that I actually do think we should save the planet, but this is for a philosophical essay.

  1. We try should save the planet and try to make a better enviorment because there would be less people with health problems. Did you know that there are more people with respiratory problems because of all the air pollution
contributing to it? Also, we should think about future generations on Earth and how it would effect our future. Also, global warming is effecting our essential natural resources like food and lakes are drying up and it is causing more droughts in the world. How we should also try saving the planet by using less fossil fuels that pollute the air and instead use wind power or solar power. You should also, drive less and turn out the lights in the rooms that you aren't in, and don't waste things. You should recycle things like plastic, paper and aluminum.

There is an alternate question: Why do we think we have a right to be so destructive to other life forms on the planet?

Perhaps the best answer is that we want to leave a good place to live for the species that are left when we go extinct.
Under the constitution, is states that those who have the power have the responsibility to do so.

it has done so mush for us,

I am not saying to go all hippy, NO!!

just recycle and walk when you get the chance

you wont regret it when your not able to.

    but other then that,

just live like theres no tomorrow!!!!

Global Warming is not a Doomsday Prophesy it is a wake up call.

The first thing we need to do is help make some changes in our

national mind set from one that lets us believe that our earth can

recover from anything, to one that lets us believe that our earth

    could use a little help.

Developing cleaner ways to produce electricity is not going to hurt a

thing, if it doe's nothing but make the air we breathe cleaner it

    works for me.

Developing alternative fuels to power our transportation needs ,

again won't hurt a thing, reduce the demand for oil you reduce the

price we pay for it, I think everyone can say "that works for me" to

    this.

In our everyday life's one of best ways to help focus your mind

set in the right direction is to say to yourself each

morning, "Today I will do no harm to the earth" I do this it works, I

find myself doing little things that in the long run enriches my

life, again it don't hurt a thing.

I could go on about this all day but I won't. I'm a global warming

advocate but, not because of some unfounded fear of Doomsday but (as

you may have guessed by now) because it won't hurt a thing to help

our earth recover from years of industrial plunder.
