Why shouldn't Karl Rove be arrested?

He refuses to testify before Congress and will "only with no transcript taken and not under oath."

Why is it this administration continually lies and never has to answer to it? Congress is useless, obviously.

Yeah, just let them all leave office and go their merry ways with money coming to them the rest of their lives! Sickening.

Because this is America, not cuba.  You are not required to testify to congress.  especially if you are part of the executive branch.  There are separation of powers, sometimes one branch tries to take power from another.  The executive branch picks the attorneys and congress has nothing to do with it (period)

Plus, all Americans are not required to testify if they so choose.  it is our right.

Imagine if Bush tried to take congress to court to make them vote for a judge he picked...he cant do that....smae thing here congress has no authority to put their noses in this attorney firing issue.  they work at the president's pleasure and he can fired them on a whim.

It's called probable cause.  If he was subpoenad that would be one thing, but if Congress is "asking' him to testify, then he isn't required to do so.  If confused, please reference the 4th and the 5th amendment.

He has executive privilege.

This works in the exact same way as legal & medical privilege - the president has the right to confidential advice that will stay confidential.

This is essential for maintaining a good presidency, the same way as your doctor not telling anyone about your medical problems is essential for a good health service.

It's disturbing that the dems are trying to undermine this, but more so that the media are not calling them out on it.
