Why shouldnt you use someone else's prescription eye glasses?

My eyes really become drowsy when I use the computer and I have a weird habit of leaning close to the screen even when when I can the the letters. For some reason the words dont make any sense unless I lean closer. What can I do that will make my eyes stronger and why cant you use someone else's glasses if they help me see excellent?

Someone's else's Rx glasses are suited for their particular eye condition. Even if they help you see better, unless your eye condition matches theirs, wearing someone else's glasses could actually harm your eyes over time by causing them (or one of them) to work/strain in unbeneficial ways to allow you to see better through those lenses.

If you are having eye  problems, go to an eye doctor yourself and tell them the issue. They may give you an Rx for glasses of your own, suited to your eye condition, so you won't have to worry about possibly doing harm to your own eyes.

Kinda like taking someone else's Rx meds. If you don't have their same medical condition, even though their medication may help you feel better it could be harming you in the long run because it may not be treating whatever your condition is, and could actually make it worse.

Take care of your eyes...eye transplants haven't been perfected. You only get that one pair to last your whole life...

The degree is wrong and it will harm your eyes.Images will appear blurry.

it ruins your sence of seeing propperly.  

1. its not your eye strenghth

2. wear them to much,  your eyes will become as weak as theirs.

It's only your feeling that you can't see properly unless you lean close to the screen. You feel as if the words don't make any sense unless you lean closer, is because you have gotten into that habit. Try to sit straight by keeping a comfortable distance from the screen.And, don't use someone else's glasses as you will destroy your vision only, like theirs. They are using glasses means, their eyes have some problem and a doctor have prescribed it. But it may not match with your eyes.
