  1. It has large capacity because of its...

    1. location

    - after chyme(food) goes down to the stomach, it goes to the small intestine for absorption of nutrients

    2. digestive enzymes (amylase, trypsin, lipase)

-the last chemical digestion happens in the small intestine. 1st is in the mouth , 2nd is in the stomach. it is where most chemical digestion takes place, meaning the food is fully digested here

    3. components(lacteal and villi)

    - the undigested fat and some fatty acids are absorbed by lacteals which are lymph vessels while carbohydrates and protein digestion are absorbed into the capillaries in the villi

  2. it has a large surface area uh.. it's folded, like if you wanted to put a blanket in a closet you would fold it right?

it's folded into rugae then the many many villi absorb a lot of nutrients.. then they're folded microscopically into microvilli LOL I'm just yeah this might be your answer
