  1. So who authorized this poll, the Democrats.  I am proud of my affiliation with the Republican Party.  I became one when I turned 18 and never looked back.  I am not ashamed of Bush or McCain for your information.  You must be getting your information from the liberal flip flopping democrats.

  2. There is no such Poll.  Your little dilusional mind wishes there was...but alas you are out of luck.

  3. I doubt that there is such a poll. Most of us proudly and boldly denounce the legitimacy of Obama even becoming president.

  4. If they are 'denying their affiliation with the republican party', then how do they know they were republicans to begin with?  Lol

  5. Why do people keep saying that "there are no such polls"?! I get phone calls and surveys all the time, at least from Democratic pollsters. Usually, they're NOT afraid of debate and dissent, unlike most Republicans I know, which is why, maybe Republicans DON'T poll their "own". They don't want to hear dissent, or basically, any other view but their own. I guess that's the definition of a "Conservative"!

As for why Reps are avoiding their own party, look what it's become, esp. under Bush & Co.! From the lying about WMD's, the vicious exposure of a CIA agent, just to punish her husband, lying about THAT, lying about wiretapping and then FLIP-FLOPPING (the Reps favorite accusations toward Dems!) and saying "we have the RIGHT to spy on everyone and we're gonna keep doing it" (Bush really said this), then the gutting of the surplus to create a huge deficit, the economy which is so bad, 60% of working people regularly borrow money FOR FOOD, while Bush gives tax breaks to millionaires. There's his palsy-walsy relationship with the Saudi royal family, the Iraq War, his HORRIBLE treatment of the troops he sends over there, his gutting of the environment, Social Security, education, aid to the elderly and children....it goes on and on.

MY question now is: why WOULD anyone (who's not in the upper 10% wealth bracket stay Republican, if this is their continued "philosophy"??! Some of people's defection is political (trying to give McCain an edge) but most is, I believe, motivated by them waking up to see what this party is really about, and leaving, like rats off a sinking ship! Good for them!

  6. How do you know that they are Republicans if they say that they are not affiliated with the Party? I am a Republican and I voted for Bush twice but I will not vote for McCain. He has no opinion nor policy he just wants to be president. He will say what it takes. He has proved that in North Vietnam where he made Anti American statements for the enemy to keep from being tortured ..

  7. Well you must be a democrat, clearly the only reason for the question is because you don't have the facts ,, other wise you would not be asking such a dummass question !!!, typical democrat ,, Its the political party that most ppl have lost faith in , In time past the republican party stood for growth , and health of the nations security , Its a true shame that bush has done so poorly , But the man was after all handed a significantly weakened country after the Clinton nightmare ,, and I'm not ever going to hear BS like a balanced budget ,, that was Book cooking at its Best ,, oh ya Hey ??? was that a but of dreull on Monica's  tunic  ?,, or was that the presidential SEED ?

  8. Just going through the different stages of DENIAL, that's all.

  9. We have not left the Republicans, they have left us, by going left.

  10. I think that's usually the reason. My mother, a longtime, staunch Republican, and several others I know, openly say they can't stand Bush and his policies & actions. Some have left the party, while others, hope that McCain will be the "anti-Bush" .

This is, no doubt, why McCain avoids Bush like the plague! But if he got elected, I doubt his policies would be much different. He's just not anxious to ride some VERY unpopular coattails right now!
