  1. You just answered your own question to such utter perfection that even a supergenius like myself could not better it.

    "...American people are so ignorant."

    That's it in a nutshell.

What do you expect of a society comprised of the elite of the booboisie whose primary education comes from TV and the Holy Babble.

The film "Idiocracy" probably predicts the future of America a lot better than Independence Day or even the atrocious pieces of pure unadulterated c**p: the "Left Behind" series which should have been left behind by persons wanting their fiction to have some quality.  You want quality in your Fantasy? Read Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings.

I'm Italian baby and as beautiful as the language that must have been used by the gods themselves.

My hair is jet black and people think I'm gypsy---which is partly true because the blood of the Huns does flow in me...

but my best friend has red hair and a second best is a blonde haired blue eyed dama that would pass for Swedish except she spent too much time in the sunny region of Castrovalva and vacationing in Sicily and San Tropez, France.

But either way, she's not some dumb Aryan bimbo, but a spicy hot bella italiana!

However, we of Italian descent do have one shameful fact about life in the grandest grooviest spiciest country on Earth which has had like 30 governments in the past 100 years.

Governments to Italians are like clothes to the French. If we don't like the current fashion we change it!

But the sad fact that the Vatican continues to exist instead of doing what we should do about this mini Dictatorship in the middle of the city of Caesar, does dampen the Italian spirit somewhat.  What we ought to do is drop a nuke on the place and rid the planet of this LAST vestige of feudal bourgeois fascist merda.

  2. idk im italian (I live in america so thanks for the insult!!!!) im white but i have really dark hair and really blue eyes and prolly becus stuff on tv shows italians with darker skin darker eyes and darker hair not all americans are idiots thats a lifestyle choice in any country (even italy)

  3. The reason is because they need to be educated to get rid of their ignorants that not all Italian people are the same build, have the same hair etc.

  4. doesn't every village have it's idiot?

In the US you can have people that have blonde hair & blue eyes, or blonde hair and green eyes, or red hair and green eyes, or tanned skin and dark eyes....well u get the point....and yes I agree with you...a lot of people in the US are ignorant...but doesn't that go for every other nation too?

Most Italian people I have met have dark skin and dark eyes and dark hair...but that doesn't mean there can't be light skin, light eyes, light hair Italians.

  5. Because Italians AREN'T WHITE.. it's just that simple.

  6. becasue italians are cocky and we dont like cocky so they caN GO TURN MOSLUM

  7. I am an American. An Italian is definitely an Italian. White or black? Who cares? They are Italian and everyone has their own unique shade of skin color.

  8. Yes I'm an Italian with blonde hair. I was born in Italy, so were my parents (and they both have blonde hair). I also speak fluent Italian.

At high school I vividly remember being teased for "claiming" I was Italian. The basis everyone used was that I have blonde hair.

I think people just see a lot of movies that have dark southern Italians in them (e.g. gangster movies), and have never travelled to the north of Italy, where blonde hair is very common.

  9. Why does it matter?

  10. I'm Greek and I am not part of the white race.

I may be caucasian but I'm not white.

    I'm Hellenic.

    That's my race.

    Just how the world works.

  11. There are still blonde, blue eyed  Italians in the North.

There are also tall Italians in the North.  Descendents of the Moors who occupied Italy.

Numerous occupations of Italy brought about many different blood lines.

    All caucasians are considered white.

    We Americans confuse the issue.

There were always 5 distinct races.  Today some want more clarification.  Mixed races as well.

    Red

    Black

    Brown

    Yellow

    White

  12. for the exact same reason that you think americans are ignorant.

  13. I'm with leth but I don't think we view Italians as not white. We  just expect Italians to have tanned skin and dark hair.

  14. I have never encounterd the white question anywhere else except in the US because there are so many races and cultures in one.  If you're Italian and living in Italy than the white steretype does not apply to you, because most people in Italy are Italian.

Thease exchange students probably have not met too many Italian people before you. In general most Italians and most people around the world  are with brown hair and brown eyes. I read somewhere that the natural blonds will be extinct in the future.

These students will not say that anymore because you've been their first blue eyed, blond haired Italian person they've met.

Some Americans don't travel too much, not that they're ignorant, just not well traveled. If they were not rude to you, educate then on your culture. You can make some new friends instead. Good Luck.

  15. Maybe it could be the italian person being a little ignorant by thinking americans are so ignorant maybe the few people you have encountered are ignorant but everyone does not have the same opinion.

  16. I am Italian and I have family that are from Italy and there are ones with blonde hair & blue eyes. My boyfriends mom who was born in Italy has blonde hair and blue eyes. Italians can have any hair color and any eye color.

  17. Patata,

Italians ARE considered white by every major census report, college entry paperwork, and on all Social Security documents.

Since you have blonde hair and blue eyes, I am going to guess and say that your descendants were from Northern Italy, where lighter features are very common. Northern Italians have a higher percentage of Austro-Germanic blood (primarily due to having it bred into them over the centuries) and people from this area of Italy, Austria, and the alpine mountains that separate the countries are called Tyrolean...

Southern Italians are far more likely to have darker features than Northern Italians, and are much more common. Southern Italians are a by-product of Romans/Teutonic (Ancient Germanic peoples breeding with Moorish (North African black and partially black persons of Morocco and Mauritania). Over time, Italians have taken on that skin tone and color.

My advice is to tell the exchange students you know that there are plenty of blonde-haired, blue eyed Italians out there and offer to prove it. If they don't believe you, they are idiots.

    Good luck!
