Why so many chevrons in original posts>>>>>? They are very annoying.?

In Yahoo groups, the previous posts in my replies get filled up with chevrons at the left side of the page. It is very annoying to other members of the group. Mine are the only posts that do this. Any place I can change the format of the previous posts included in a post?

I don't know of any way to automatically change the format of the post you're replying to.  But I have noticed there's only one chevron per level of reply.  To get many chevrons on a line, you have to be going many levels back.  What I do when I reply to a message is scroll down to delete all of the posts that are more than a couple levels back.  That way, the number of chevrons on a line is prevented from getting to an annoying level.  Is there some reason you can't do the same?
