  1. Much of the polar ice caps has melted(due to global warming), so the land in this area is rebounding. The previous ice was heavy and pushed the land surface inwards. Now with the ice melting rapidly there will be movement in the continental plates as the heavy pressure disappears. Anyway, I left my geology book back in the States.

  5. There was ONE earthquake in China lately. There was also one earthquake in California, USA in the last month. Where do you get "many" from? There is no why. Earthquakes happen randomly as the earth's crust moves, creating tremors around the fault lines. These fault lines have been in existence at the same places pretty much since the beginning of human existence. That's why people who live by fault lines would not and should not be surprised by a sudden earthquake.

  6. God is to be blamed for that...

  7. China is also in the Pacific Volcanic Belt that curve round the Pacific Ocean.  It round up from Indonesia to Philippine under the sea passing Taiwan to Japan to Hawaii under ocean to East Coast of North & South America.  It is a fire line of explosive lava in this huge region and there is always a link to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves and so on & on.....

Must check with the world warning stns to get not so sure prediction on the next happening.

Sorry, I am not a Geologist but only an interested reader of happening.

  8. It's so called "karma" GOD IS WATCHING US.....

  9. earthquakes are a random event that could happen anywhere, but of cause they are more likely to occur in those areas where the tectonic plates are rubbing against each other.

China is also a big country, as in total area, something to bear in mind
